The expose noted on a deeper level that Gore's association with Barrick is consistent with their shared outlook of racism and genocide and their mutual financial backers, including the Bush family, and major figures in the global Anglo-Dutch raw materials cartels.</p><p>A Barrick Gold spokesman in Chile said "suspicions" about the company were "distracting" attention from the event's purposes. A detailed report on EIR's 1997 expose of the Bush family-tied company's role in genocide in Africa had been repeatedly posted to Chilean environmental websites over the past two years.
