<body><div id="article"><tr><td height="28" valign="middle" width="184"></td><td valign="middle" width="185"></td></tr><h1>Development Conference in Vladivostock To Help Prepare Russian Presidency of APEC</h1><p>May 8 (EIRNS) - The Pacific Economic Congress, to help prepare for the Russian presidency of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), will take place in Vladivostok July 28-29, with the participation of Russian Economic Development and Commerce Minister German Gref and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin. Officials, scientists and businessmen from Japan, China, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, the USA, and other international associations are expected, the Vladivostok Times reported today.</p><p>Issues on the agenda include the potential for oil, gas, and power exports from the Russian Far East; Asian Pacific Region logistics and transport infrastructure; and credit and financial development in the region.</p><p>The APEC also includes participation of the Pacific countries of Ibero-America.</p></div></body>
