<body><div id="article"><tr><td height="28" valign="middle" width="184"></td><td valign="middle" width="185"></td></tr><h1>Kyrgyzstan: U.S. May Not Use Base for Attacks on Iraq or Iran</h1><p>May 24 (LPAC)--Kyrgyzstan Prime Minister Almazbek Atambayev told reporters on May 24 that Kyrgyzstan will not allow the air base of the coalition forces (US/UK) on its territory to be used to strike Iran or Iraq, Itar-Tass reported today.</p><p>The Prime Minister's statement followed a declaration by the Kyrgyz parliamentary committee on defense and security, that the foreign air base must operate strictly within the framework of intergovernmental accords on conditions of its stay in Kyrgyzstan.</p></div></body>
