Boxing with Senator Boxer

Sen. Barbara Boxer, Chairwoman of the Senate Committee on the Environment and Public Works, spoke Wednesday afternoon on issues related to global warming. Several weeks ago Senator Boxer's committed hosted Al Gore on the same topic in the Senate.

Sen. Boxer promoted the carbon trade and she encouraged every American to change their light bulbs to adjust to environmentally friendly policies. The Senator further commented that she wanted know who in the Congress is for and who is against the legislative push that way the next election can be a referendum on Global Warming. The hope is that the population will vote out all those members of Congress who don't agree with Al Gore's polemic and thus enable the next Congress to champion greenie legislation to legalize carbon cap trading.

On the way out [LYM Member] asked Senator Boxer if nuclear power was back on the table. She responded saying, "Yes, I think nuclear power is back on the table, especially since it has zero CO2 emissions."

Is There Really a Consensus About Global Warming?

-17,000 scientists in the USA alone have signed their names to a research paper stating that research data on climate change do not show that human use of hydrocarbons is harmful. To the contrary, there is good evidence that increased atmospheric carbon dioxide is environmentally helpful. They continue, stating that the proposed agreement would have very negative effects upon the technology of nations throughout the world, especially those that are currently attempting to lift from poverty and provide opportunities to the over 4 billion people in technologically underdeveloped countries.

-IPCC scientist, professors, and researchers have contributed in the production of The Great Global Warming Swindle , a response to Al Gore’s trashy science fiction film.
